Another month is over and time’s ripe for another update from the $BANANO ecosystem! Here it is, the BANANO Monthly Update October 2019!

It’s exciting times in the crypto world. Everything is dynamically changing all the time. The same is happening at BANANO. Free and fair distribution as well as community growth are still going forward even though the team is adjusting different aspects over time (more about BANANO distribution further below). Let’s first summarize some bantastic news from September 2019:

BANANO BoomPow Released!

Freshly released: BoomPoW (bPow), BANANO’s peel of the Distributed Proof of Work System (DPoW) created by members of the Nano community. The aim is to provide reliable, fast proof of work to not only BANANO apps and services, but also to NANO apps and services. Rewards for contributing to this are paid in BANANO, meaning BoomPow is part of BANANO distribution!

Banano Royale Relaunch!

The official BANANO gaming discord server got a major update and was relaunched recently. It offers anonymous, social gaming with provably fair bets, feeless deposits/withdrawals, and more games (Black Jack, Roulette, Crash, or Slots). Also, all ‘profits’ will be 100% burned. More BananoJobs!

BananoJobs was already started in late August as simple platform for microtasks and bounties using BANANO. It was unfortunate timing that the BANANO Reddit Tipbot had issues exactly when it was launched (meanwhile all fixed). It already is quite active and BANANO is used daily as microtask payment, however we’re working on improvements here, and you’ll also see lots more official BananoJobs coming soon! Also, all outstanding payments will be sent out shortly.

BANANO on Coinmarketcap!?

Shortly after applying officially at Coinmarketcap and a Twitter shout-out to them, they indeed listed us. However, for now this is without tracking data being available yet. We couldn’t apply before since we didn’t meet the requirements. Hopefully we’ll be listed fully soon. If you want to support that, feel free to add BANANO to your watchlist on their site or shout out to them through their social media channels.

What the Fork is BANANO?

For those of you who don’t know BANANO yet: BANANO is a cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin or Ethereum, just a much newer generation). BANANO was forked from the cryptocurrency Nano in April 2018 and thus is powered by DAG technology — here to distrupt the meme economy. Yes, BANANO has memes! And also feeless and near-instant transactions, a highly active community, and active technical development! The BANANO community doesn’t take themselves too seriously, but we’re here for the long run and we enjoy what we do.

BANANO Burn Report #3

No noteworthy amount of BANANO was burned within the last month since we prioritized other tasks. From now on burns will happen more regular, also due to above mentioned burns of Banano Royale ‘profits’.

BANANO Faucet and Distribution Overview

In terms of distribution, you probably have noticed that we have not run our faucet games ‘Meme Faucet’ and ‘Black Monkey’ within September. During the summer, we had both these faucets running very regularly, which surely has boosted our distribution during that time, but also created negative side effects. We’ll come back with a more detailed statement regarding this soon. For now, be ensured that both ‘Meme Faucet’ and ‘Black Monkey’ will most likely have future rounds (stay tuned for announcements). BANANO is always good for surprises.

Also, BANANO distribution definitely hasn’t stopped. We still have four faucets running permanently since quite a while, quick overview here:

Also, Banano BoomPow basically is yet another constantly running faucet that was added just this month.

Additionally, we had (and will have) lots of giveaways and contests on our different social media platforms, and we are working on future faucets and faucet games, no worries. Adjustments might always be made to ensure that BANANO’s free distribution stays fair, and also doesn’t make our community members too dependent on BANANO earnings.

Within September, we’ve freely distributed a total of ~16 Million BANANO (August: 60M; July: 47M; June: 48M; May: 35M). Just to name the major events, this has happened through faucet payouts (Bananominer, Powerplant, Monkeytalks, Crane Faucet, BoomPow), tipping allowances and celery (rewards) to all core team members, major contributors and moderators (total ~90–100 people).

BANANO Tipbots as we use them at Discord, Reddit, Telegram and Twitter are instrumental for showing newly joining members how easy-to-use and fast BANANO truly is, and to actually have everyone use BANANO for what it’s made for — tipping others!

In September 2019 alone more than 2.4 M BANANO (Aug: 6 M; June: 2.7M; May: 815k) with a total current value of ~$1750 (Aug: $5400; June: $4753; May: $1171) were tipped in more than 22k transactions (Aug: 26k; June: 17k; May: 16k) through our Twitter/Telegram tipbot!

In total, since the Tipbot was started in Mid April 2019, more than 18 Million BANANO with a total current value of $13168 were tipped in more than 108,000 transactions, only at Twitter and Telegram!
